Social programme

We take great pride in the scientific excellence of our invited lecturers, panels, side events and authors of papers included in Special and regular Conferences sessions at the SDEWES Conference, but there is another program that truly makes this Conference complete, and this is our Social programme.

9 - 12 February 2020 will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the company of top experts in the field of sustainable development from all around the world and, through our social programme, exchange ideas in a more informal way, while enjoying the beautiful sites and history of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

 

Welcome reception


9th February (Sunday) – 19:00 – 21:00 h

The reception will be held at 19:00 h at the Engineering Faculty building in Las Heras Avenue 2214. Join us for a formal start of the Conference with welcome drinks and refreshments accompanied by tango dance.

Registration starts at 18:00 h.

The welcome reception is included in all conference fees as well as the accompanying person fee. There will be no transportation to and from the welcome reception venue.

 

 

Conference excursion with dinner


11th February (Tuesday) – 14:00 – 22:00 h

We have a very special day planned for our conference participants on Thursday when we will go to Campo Pampas del Sur, one hour drive from Buenos Aires. 

There, we will enjoy a fun rural day of sport and recreation activities, picnic/tea time with regional food and drinks, swimming in the pool or indoor lounge games. In the evening participants will gather for the folkloric show with singers, guitar round, dancing and other performances, followed by conference dinner with local delicacies. 

Dress code: very casual (bring your swimsuits)

 

Bus transportation will be organized from the conference venue (Paseo Colón Avenue 850) to Pampas del Sur (Cañuelas) and return. Buses will go at 14:00 h after the lunch break.
